Rahul Gandhi’s Controversial Statement on UP

Rahul Gandhi’s Controversial Statement on UP
Rahul Gandhi on his visit to his Great Grandfather Jawahar Lal Nehru’s constituency in UP made such a statement that it has created a political storm across India. Rahul Gandhi, in his speech in UP said JABAB DO KAB TAK MAHARASHTRA MEIN BHEEKH MANGOGE? KAB TAK PUNJAB MEIN PASINA BAHAOGE. The statement is directly intended to the people of UP who go to Maharashtra for their living, people who go to Punjab to earn their living. He wanted a answer from them. Though the logic behind the statement is absolutely correct but it would have been better if he had used some other words to express his feelings.
The reason why Rahul Gandhi got angry is obvious. UP is one of the largest states in India but at the same time it is most under developed state as well. There are no job opportunities in UP. The state has been ruled by SP, BSP from the past so many years but hardly there has been a visible development in the state.
Rahul Gandhi is being projected as the next Prime Ministerial candidate by Congress Party. Before using a word like Bheekh or beg he must have thought about the sentiments of the people who are working in Delhi, Punjab and Maharashtra. They are working hard to earn their living and not begging in those states.
Mayawati also now need to realize that though the statement is controversial but is true. Why the private sector is reluctant to come to UP? Why Wipro, HCL, Infosys, TCS, Tata, Birlas and other giants have not been encouraged to come to UP? Why the companies are scared to set up there plants in UP? Why UP has this image that law and order is not up to the mark in UP? Mayawati need to provide them the conducive atmosphere and safety so that the big companies come to UP and generate job opportunities in UP.
Just by spending thousands of crores in parks is not going to benefit anyone not even the Dalits in UP. Instead set up new colleges, Universities, industries in UP if she really want to help the people of UP. In fact Nitish Kumar on the other hand has done a wonderful job in Bihar and he has to some extent changed the face of Bihar in a very short span of time. If any politician has a will he can do that.
Rahul Gandhi also needs to understand that these statements are not going to help him or the party either. He is young and connected to youth so he need to design new ways so that youth continue to support him in UP and help his party to come back with a bang in UP if he really wants.
