Qutub Minar

Qutub MInar is one of the main landmarks in Delhi. Qutub Minar is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Delhi as well. The historical and unique monument of Qutub Minar was constructed by the legendry Qutub-ud-Din Aibek in in 1119. Qutub Minar in Delhi is 238 ft in height. Qutub Minar has a diameter of 47 ft at the base and Qutub Minar’s diameter is 9 meters at the top

There is one more important attraction in the Qutub Minar Campus and that is 1600 years old iron pillar. The iron pillar in the Qutub Complex was built in the 5th Century and it is still free of rust and you will find no sign of decomposition in this pillar.

How to Reach Qutub Minar

Qutub Minar is well connected by Delhi Metro. You can take a direct Metro to Qutub Minar from Central Secretariat. It lies in the Delhi Gurgaon Metro link.

Number of DTC buses connects Qutub Minar to all parts of the city. You can take direct DTC bus to Qutub Minar from AIIMS medical DTC bus stand. Qutub Minar is located in the Delhi Gurgaon Meherauli road.

Lal Qila or Red Fort Delhi

Also known as Lal Qila, Red Fort in Delhi was built in 1648 by Mughal Emperor Shahjahan. Red Fort is located in Old Delhi near ISBT Kashmere Gate and is kus walking distance from Old Delhi Railway station. Red Fort is built with an amazing and exquisite architecture. There are many places inside the Red Fort which has an mesmerizing history. These ares inside Lal Qila include Diwan-i-Aam (Public audiences or meetings were held in this hall), Diwan-i Khas (Private meeting were held here by the Royal), Rang Mahal (Place was water cooled for the royal ladies) and Pearl Mosque.

Akshardham Temple in Delhi is located in the East delhi near Mayur Vihar Phase 1. Akshardham Temple in Delhi is an excellent and the most beautiful piece of art located on the banks of Yamuna in East Delhi. Akshardham Temple is spread over 100 acres of land and is one of the most visited temples in the world.

Please note that Akshardham Temple remains close on Mondays. On the other days Akshardham Temle is open from 9am to 7pm in summers and 9am to 6pm in winters.
